Test & Balance in the USA

Greetings from Frankfort, Indiana and everyone here at MGM Associates, Inc.

In the days (mga araw) ahead I hope to share with the Filipino HVAC community a description of projects we are working on along w/ pics and things we encounter as we perform TAB services for our clients here (dito) in central Indiana.

As for some background on who we are, MGM Associates was formed in 2006. I am the president of the company and have been in the HVAC field since 1973 when I started school at Milwaukee Area Technical College in my home state of Wisconsin. After obtaining an Associate Degree in Applied Science- Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technology I moved to North Carolina to work for a company that made walk-in coolers and installed refrigeration equipment in large supermarkets. 1978 was a year of big events, namely, I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and I got married to Monica. After a short time of attending a Bible College in Ohio, we returned to North Carolina where I found a job with a company that made custom air handling units. After several years of working there as the field start-up guy, the owner of the company approached me and said he would be selling the company and asked me if I would be interested in working for him when he started his new Test & Balance company. That was in 1984 and I've been doing TAB ever since. In 1990 we decided to moved back to my home state of Wisconsin to be closer to my aging parents. I found a job with a local TAB firm. But because we could not find a church (simbahan) which was like the one we attended in North Carolina, we moved to Indiana. This allowed us to still be close to my parents and allowed Monica to live in the same town with her sister. I was hired by a TAB firm in Indiana and worked there for the next 15 years. Then in March of 2005 a group from our church took a missions trip to the Philippines, it was life changing. After much soul-searching and prayer I told my boss in March of 2006 I would be leaving his company. I worked for him until October of 2006 to finish the projects I was responsible for. In October of 2006 MGM Associates, Inc was formed. During my tenure as a TAB professional I have held certifications with NEBB and AABC. Currently MGMA is in the process of obtaining NEBB certification. As I look to the future, I am hoping to continue doing church work in the Philippines and still serve our clients here in the USA via MGMA. I am thankful I have found this website thru which hopefully I can make friends with people (mga tao) in the Philippine HVAC community.
